Summer Days

Okay, so I haven't been very good about updating my blog since I started doing it. I will try to post more often. Here are a few pictures to show what we have been up to this summer. We just got back from Utah, but these pictures go back a little farther than that.

Hiking around Poway Lake with Grammy

Going to the Beach.

Building sand castle forts

Watching the Cirque de la Mer show at Seaworld
(Spencer really wanted his picture with these guys)

Riding bikes with friends around Lake Miramar

Brooke turned two!!

Visiting Sea World with friends
(notice the angelic glow around the kids,

I am sure it had nothing to do with the lens)

In Utah, we visited Park City, for those of you who know what the alpine slide is, you will understand; This is the look Dylan had on his face at the top, I should have known by that look
that he wasn't too excited to be on this ride. The ride to the bottom took Spencer and I about 3 or 4 minutes... I kid you not, Dylan did not appear at the bottom for at least 10 minutes after we got there. I was about to start walking up the hill when slowly we saw his head, it was stop..go..stop..go..stop..go, it was pretty funny. I think the operator must have seen how slow he was going because about 3 other riders came down the other slide, giving us updates on his location. It was the funniest thing. He did figure out later on that it was much more fun to go faster than you could walk.

This was the top of the track

Also in Park City an airplane ride. Notice the look of
absolute excitement in Chase's face. Actually he was
a good sport to go with Brooke, who really was absolutely
excited to be on the ride.

Here is Chase being a nice brother and pointing
out a point of interest on the train ride.

Visiting Kennecot Copper Mines, the largest open pit copper mine
in the world. This was a tire from one of the trucks, the boys
loved this stop.
You can't really tell in the above picture that Spencer
was quite mad about not being alone, so here is his alone
picture.

We stopped by Temple Square, and went to the visitors center
This is always a treat. The boys quickly discovered however that
this room echos amazingly well. We didn't stay long after that discovery.

Riding bikes again.

Finally, we discovered that pull-ups in fact do not double as swim diapers. They may actually be worse than just regular diapers as you can see in the pictures. I was a little skeptical about using a pullup, but we had a friend who told us that this would work, so when we ran out of swim diapers, I thought what the heck, lets give it a try...Strangers at the pool were actually laughing when she first got out. It was pretty funny.

It looks like you guys are having a great summer. I love the pull-up picture. We've had that happen a few times ourselves!
